Sensei Nishiyama’s Karate is based on principles that apply to all styles of Karate. This camp is sure to equip you with tools that you will be able to apply to enhance your own practice and to use in your teaching.
Understanding principles allows one to develop their own karate, according to their physical and mental make up and inclinations, rather than a cookie cutter approach to training.
This means more effectiveness, less injuries and karate as an art rather than imitation.

Any Shotokan practitioner/instructor 1st Dan and above, regardless of affiliation, who is interested in learning Sensei Nishiyama’s Karate system and in expanding their Karate knowledge and horizon is welcome to participate.
The seminar will be taught by Sensei Avi Rokah, 8th dan.

Camp Venue
1835 S. La Cienega Blvd, Unit 240, Los Angeles This venue is located in a shopping center less than five min. drive from the Rokah Karate Dojo. There is ample free parking in the parking lot and in the parking structure. We suggest entering the parking lot from 18th St. When entering the building from the parking structure you will see a big Gym, LA Fitness. Our camp will take place directly across the hallway from LA Fitness. We will have our mobile phones turned on should anyone need our help finding it. Please make sure you have our contact info available.

Santa Monica and Transportation
The official hotel and seminar venue are both close to the world famous Santa Monica Beach and a world class shopping experience at the 3rd Street Promenade. Santa Monica is a very bike friendly city. It is easy to rent a bike to go between the seminar venue and the hotel and to venture out on other experiences. Santa Monica also has a Metro Station where you can easily take the Metro to downtown LA.
Extended Training at Rokah Karate
If you arrive a few days prior to the seminar, or would like to stay a few days after the seminar to train at Rokah Karate you are welcome to do so free of charge. (Please contact Sensei Avi Rokah for best class times.)
